Time in five career PGA Tour events in which Rickie Fowler entered the final round with the lead that he closed out a victory, winning The Honda Classic on Sunday. Fowler endured four bogeys, including on the 17th and 18th holes, and a double bogey to shoot 1-over 71 at PGA National’s Champion Course for a 12-under 268 total and hold off co-runners-up Morgan Hoffmann and Gary Woodland by four strokes for his fourth career Tour victory. Fowler also converted a 54-hole lead into victory in the 2016 Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship on the European Tour.

Number of players at the Joburg Open who qualified for the British Open, led by South African Darren Fichardt, who shot 15-under 200 to win the rain-shortened 54-hole event at Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club. It was Fichardt’s fifth European Tour title. Co-runners-up Stuart Manley of Wales and Paul Waring of England also qualified for the 146th Open, on July 20-23 at Royal Birkdale in England.
